Let’s check how to check if a string contains a substring in Python.

Check if a string contains a substring

There is an easy trick which allow to check if a string contains another substring in Python.

my_string = 'This is my string'
print('string' in my_string)

This will return True boolean value.

Check if a string not contain a substring

To check if string does not contain substring just change to

my_string = 'This is my string'
print('string' not in my_string)

And this one returns False.
